' between 9th & 30 september , three daylight and six night raids were carried out by 28 dorniers of KG100, the most succesful raid took place on 13 september when hits scored on the cruiser savannah, and on hms uganda, two allied destroyers were also damaged , the hospital ship newfoundland, was also inadvertently hit and sank with a great loss of life, the price of this action was the loss of four experienced crews from II/KG100, together with two DO-217E-5's and two DO-217 K-2's '
