Hello.
on this day a group of 40 B-26 Marauders attacked an ordnance depot in Amberg-Kummersbruck, during this mission they were attacked by 2 Me 262s. According to John Foreman's "Me 262 Combat diary" one Marauder was shot down and one was badly damaged, whereas Heinz Bär from III./EJG2 claimed two B-26 shot down.
I know most of the details about the shot down Marauder ("Vulgar Vulture", 43-34334, MACR 14379). Does anybody on this board know some details about the plane, that was damaged? Did it make it back to the home base Clastres, France?
Regards
Robert
