Currently on ebay there is a photo of, I think, a Douglas O-38B captioned as being based at Mineola NY in 1943 at:

It could be that the photo is miscaptioned and although some other of the other aircraft which can be seen at :

although it does appear a O-38B was at Mineola,but that was stated to be CL-26 according to Joe Baughers page at
http://joebaugher.com/usaf_serials/1930.html
The machine in the photo appears to be in flying condition.Or perhaps not?
I also not that the YA-13 at
https://www.ebay.de/itm/154692464501...oAAOSwFlZhirar
is mentioned as being New York based perhaps adding to the plausibility of Mineola as a location. Does anyone know how long the YA-13 remained with the USAAF?
