Most of this can be found in deZeng/Stankey: Bomber Units of the Luftwaffe, 1933-1945.
KGr 106

Aug 42: at the beginning of August the Gruppe began to move from Dinard to Châteaudun to rest and train a large number of new and inexperienced crews that had arrived to replace the heavy losses resulting from 8 months of uninterrupted operations. On arrival at Châteaudun, most of these new crews were immediately sent to Cognac in SW France to attend a Ju 88 glide- and dive-bombing course run by I./Kampfschulgeschwader 3. The training was broken off on 19 August and the Gruppe began operations against shipping being used in the Dieppe landings, attacking Portsmouth harbor after refueling at Dinard.
19 Aug 42: at least 3 Ju 88A-4s (M2+FH,EL,FL) shot down by fighters and AA fire in the Isle of Wight – Selsey Bill area during early evening strikes on ships and landing craft involved in the Canadian/British amphibious assault on the French coast at Dieppe, 8 KIA, 1 MIA and 3 captured; a Ju 88A-4 also damaged in an accident at Fp.Châteaudun, 20%.
