Merville Airport
Hello,
Merville Airport (west of Lille, France) has always been used only very briefly by various Luftwaffe air units. For example, 2./JG 26 was located at this airport for a short time in September 1941. According to photographs and descriptions of the airport in: Luftwaffe Airfields 35-45 (by Henry L. deZeng IV), it was a very well built and equipped airport.
Please, does anyone have information on why this airport has been used so little?
