I am very familiar with word blindness. That is why we have people other than the author review the manuscript before it goes to press. In the days when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I learned how to paste in columns of text and paste in corrections on those columns. As computer programs became more complicated, conversion programs were developed to change one file format into another. Having the latest version of anything does not make one a better writer.
