Re: Potez shot in May 1940 over Belgium

Don't you have any date to reduce the research ?

A total of 9 Potez 63.11 crashed in Belgium, the firts on the 12th, the last on the 16th May 1940. None crashed in St-Trond or Hannut, and I am not good enough in Belgian geography to locate the crash places.

The crashplaces were Mont-sur-Marchienne, St Jobin-Goor, Bouvignes, Saint-Nicolas, Charleroi, Mignault, Mettet and Braine-le-Comte.

Crashes listed in St-Trond:
11/5/40: LeO 451 n°46 of GB II/12 (3 KIA, 1 WIA) shot down by Flak
12/5/40: Breguet 693 n° 19 of GBA I/54 (1 WIA) shot down by Flak

Crashes listed in St-Trond:
13/5/40: Morane 406 n° 703 of GC II/6 (pilot OK) shot down by Flak

More details available if needed. The source of the above is the loss list summary of the book "Ils étaient là".
