Suggest you look at the KG 53 history which says
2-Hptm Horst Zander
3-Hptm Werner Brandt
5-Hptm Erhard Scheier
6-Hptm Wilhelm Bautz
7-Hptm August Lauerer
However, I would urge caution. For example the book says Hptm Heinz Rehfeld was St Kap of 4/KG 53 when Hptm Heinz Zoellner was until 5 Nov 44 (although the NVM does not state that) and Hptm Siegfried Jessen was St Kap of 7 & 9/KG 53 (he was definitelyt St Kap of the latter)
