Re: JG 77 victories

This is follow up to the post of for 23 July 1942. On the airfield at Taganrog were the III/JG 77 and I/JG 53. The III/JG 77 left that field on the 25 July and I/JG 53 was there from 24-26 July 1942. This doesn’t have any actual aerial victories but I read about German pilots claiming aerial victories of aircraft moving on the airfield with their wheels down. So I found this report to be interesting.

TsAMO. F. 216 IAD (22046), Op. 1, D. 6, L. 80 (vkh 0655)
Intelligence Report # 62 Staff 216 IAD Shkurinskaya 24.07.1942

At 10:30 and 11:00 sequentially up to 2 groups of Me-109 assaulted our airfield (Soviet) at Kuleshovka, 1 Yak-1 was burned on landing and in the parking area set 1 Il-2 on fire, but 1 LaGG-3 was extinguished.
At 05:40 3 Yak-1 of 247 IAP in the area of Bataysk at 3400 m engaged with 6 Me-109 and 5 Me-110. No results.
At 05:48 3 Yak-1 of 247 IAP above the Kuleshovka airfield at 2200 m met in an air battle with 4 Me-109. Results 1 Yak-1 shot down and 1 Yak-1 missing.

Since many of these German pilots had no location for these victories it makes it hard to determine. Then there was the possibility of no witness to the kill. I found many Russian aircraft in the Army Group North sector for 1941 and some of 1942 being reported as shot down by Me-109. On checking claims there was nothing.
