Re: Raum Map UK
Chris - in our 'Kauz' book, Mikael Olrog notes (Ch.7 footnote 22):
The Germans created three patrol areas over eastern England called Räume (areas) A, B and C. Raum A was the area from Middlesborough to Hull, with York and Leeds in the centre, Raum B was from Hull to Boston by the coast and the line from Leeds via Sheffield to Nottingham, while Raum C covered the area from Boston to Felixstowe on the coast, with the line going from Nottingham to Bedford to Felixstowe. A fourth Raum (F) was added in June 1941.
There is an illustration of these areas on p.91. From memory, our map guy and Mikael agreed to create Raum F based on 'best guess' evidence - the Raum extends from North to South from Leicester-Woburn-Reading-Salisbury then West to Trowbridge, North to Gloucester, and North-East back to Leicester
no mention of Raum D
