Request Info on U.S. WWII Ftr Pilot
Has anyone here ever heard of a WWI ETO (or MTO) fighter pilot who allegedly ended the war with "a substantial score" by the name of LONG, Eldon? The first name could be Elden of even something else. Said to have been shot down and spent the last part of the war in a German POW camp. His family roots were in Iowa, and he is said to have worked postwar for the Case IH tractor Co. and developed several farm tractors or front-end-loaders while there.
Any help would be appreciated.
