Yeah, I can see in the pictures that the aircraft has had a chevron overpainted. I haven't seen pictures of it with the chevron intact though.

Does the picture you mentioned show the spinner of the aircraft? I've seen a profile that shows a narrow white spiral but other profiles by the same artist were not very accurate so I'm not sure I trust it...
