Regarding the Ukraine claims. several UAF MiG-29s from 40th Tactical Aircraft Brigade were involved in combat on the first day od invasion and 6 of them were lost. They claimed 2 RuAF Su-25,while Russians admitted one loss ("lost because of pilot's error"). The claimant may be the unknown two-seater pilot, who ejected from SD plane, or Lt. Colonel
Yerko, who was killed.
In connection with Armenian loss, even less is known. Azerbaijan has claimed this aircraft, but without any details. The reason may be, that it was shot down by Azeri fighter operating over Armenia proper and not over Karabakh. That would be contrary to Azeri claims, that their operation was limited only to Karabakh. (They did attack several Armenian S-300 and Scud launchers in Armenia later, but allegedly only in response to the missiles they fired into Azerbaijan).
