oK. but some pics show 262s with a yellow band, and claim either "erprobungskommando 262", "kommando Nowotny" or "III/EJG2".
This one for example is labelled "erprobungskommando 262" :
and the "white 10" W Nr 170041, with a yellow band, is supposed to having been part of the three units ... in fact every picture I know labelled "erprobungskommando 262" seems to show planes with this yellow band ... thus leading to the following question : if only planes from III/EJG2 had the bands,
how did the planes from the erprobungskommando looked like ?
Of course some 262s from Nowotny's kommando do NOT have the band (Schall's for example) but is it possible that some of them kept previous markings and camo ?
