22/9/40 Albacore attack on convoy

Hi guys

On 22 September 1940, six Albacores of 826 Squadron attempted to attack a German convoy off Calais. Escort was provided by Blenheim IVs from 235 Squadron. Bf109s from I/JG52 and III/JG53 intercepted and claimed five Albacores and four Blenheims.

Two Blenheims (Z5725 and L9396) were lost (crews killed)
One Albacore ditched off Dover
One Albacore force-landed Kent
One Albacore returned badly damaged with TAG killed
One Albacore returned with two crew wounded.

Blenheims claimed three Bf109s shot down, one of which was shared with an Albacore. Apparently there were no Messerschmitts losses/damage.

Can anyone provide names of Albacore crews and setrial numbers of aircraft? Or add anything to the above.

Cheers
Brian
