My guess is that JaFü 5 filled both roles. Strange that I never encountered mention of a
Jagdabschnittsführer 5 in the DEFE 3 or HW 5 intercepts or in any documents. Nor did it have a Feldpostnummer. The Michael Holm website (ww2.dk) gives a
Jagdfliegerführer 5 but no
Jagdabschnittsführer 5.
Stab/Jagdfliegerführer 5 is said have had some assigned aircraft:
"The following aircraft was used by Stab/Jafü 5: Bf 109 and Fi 156."
The above included a single Bf 109 G-6.
