srob48 is on a distinguished road
Toppler/Köppler JG2, same person? 11.08.1940.

In the book "Luftwaffe Losses and claims", we have:
11th August 1940.

III/JG2.
Messerschmitt Bf109E. Sortie to England. Shot down by RAF fighter and crashed in the Channel. Uffz. Toppler (FF) rescued unhurt by Seenotdienst. Aircraft lost.

7/JG2.
Messerschmitt Bf109E. Sortie to Portland. Shot down by RAF fighter and crashed in the Channel. Uffz. Theodor Köppler (FF) rescued unhurt by Seenotdienst. Aircraft lost.

Could this be a duplicate, as I have found no Toppler with JG2.
