I think the link to 805 Squadron is suspect. According to the Navy List 1941 in August 1941 he was still with 803 Squadron. Also 803 Squadron were still flying Fulmars in July 1941, possibly from Cyprus, and why would an S.79 be flying near Haifa? However the details such as a precise time surprises me.
