From where did the ship depart and what was her next port of call ?
Is it not possible that the aircraft reported as found on board was just deck cargo destroyed by the bombing ? I have known of small ships and Locomotives as well as aircraft being deck cargo. So perhaps this aircraft was deck cargo, had not crashed onto the ship at all.
