Hi, dear Alex,

thanks for your efforts. I hope that i did not start something leading into Nirvana.
My main (failing ?) memory was, that an aircraft was lost in the ocean, though.

The ship Duchess of Richmond was supposed to leave Liverpool (Gladstone Dock) on 29.08.1940, but due to the start of a series of german Luftwaffe
raids set off only in the following morning of 30.08.1940.
Correct arrival date at Halifax should be 06.09.1940.
The ship went mostly unescorted to Halifax and arrived safe, neither did it receive bomb damage at Liverpool.

The Tizard mission was something of the most important developments on the allied side in WW2. The book by Stephen Phelps is interesting.
