Re: Liner 'City of Brisbane' bombed 2 August 1940

German Docs in Russia, OKL documents, Akte 100 includes a schedule (attached to Lagemeldung 394) of ships claimed sunk or damaged during August. This includes for 2 August 1940:
Z.G. 210 [sic], 3 x SC 250, sunk 8000-ton merchant ship north west of Margate. Stern torn off in first attack. In second attack, ship sunk by direct hit amidships.
The same unit was credited with a 1000-tonner sunk east of Harwich that day with 8 x SC 500 and 12 x SC 50 (2 direct hits).

Credits on the 18th went to II./KG 2 (2 hits on 4000-ton Merchant ship east of Margate; II./KG 53, 4000-ton merchant ship sunk by three direct hits east of Southend).
