It sounds like they are making stuff up because the British Army is not "The Royal Army" (unlike the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force) — although
elements of the Army are "Royal" the whole thing is not and the
Royal Logistics Corps (no "Army" in the name) has only existed since 1993.
