Flt Lt Waters 9 FTS 1940

Hi guys

According to Hugh Trivett's Achtung Spitfire,
, Flt Lt Waters, an instructor at 9 FTS RAF Hullavington, was present during an air raid on 14 August 1940. He apparently scrambled in a Station Defence Flight Hurricane and possibly shot down a He111 over Bristol.

Can anyone identify Flt Lt Waters? Is there any substance in the story? Did he encounter a Heinkel? Is there any reference in 9 FTS' records?

Possibly ROBERT CECIL JAMES - can anyone confirm?

Any help appreciated
Thanks
Brian
