As a Fw with 7./JG 53, he shot down 9 aircraft in the Battle of France before being taken POW on 6 Jun 40. He had no victories in the Battle of Britain, his next coming 29 June 1941 and by 9 Sep 41 his score stood at 27 or 28. He was awarded the DKiG 2 Jul 42 with 7./JG 53 but is then shot down and killed by 198 Sqn 13 Jan 44 with 2./JG 101 with the rank of Ofw. Can anyone tell me any more about his career?
