I am writing a piece on Squadron Leader Patrick Emerton Ritchie and Flying Officer Eric Marsden and their exploits. Both crew were KIA in June 1943 by a German flak ship, serving with 143 Squadron.

I am wondering if anyone has ANYTHING - snippets of information, photos, links, anything really that they would not mind sharing to build the stories of these two airmen.

I know Pat joined 143 Sqn in mid 1942, but cannot find out what units he was with prior to this. He may have been at RAF Thorney Island in 1941, but I am unsure in what capacity.

Anything at all would be brilliant, and thanks in advance.
