It was probably a more or less successful forced landing, but not on the side of the frontline the crew would have preferred. It is not clear where the Germans could have left it in the summer of 1942 on the Moscow direction. The Kalinin front was west/northwest of Moscow. Yes, the plane was partially dismantled, but it's unclear by whom.
Perhaps Matti can tell exactly which plane this code belonged to.
