I don't have the plate in my hands, it is a friend of mine who found it and sent pictures. When I have it I shall try to clean it.
The challenge indeed is that there are many many plates on a German aircraft and at different places.
As an example, : On a He111 of Legion Condor crashed in January 1939, I found
two such plates (see link hereunder).
Yes we should go on site and look for more parts and information, I agree..
