Excellent Luftwaffe officer's dagger to Oberfeldwebel Ulrich Mundt serving with 10.(Pz.) Staffel/Schlachtgeschwader 1. Oberfeldwebel Mundt flew a total of 537 sorties and destroyed 40 tanks, 25 bridges, one supply ship near Crete, and one British cruiser near Benghazi (damaged).</p>

<p>Nickel-plated steel blade showing the maker's mark of SMF Solingen and the Luftwaffe acceptance mark. Light stains on both sides. </p>
<p>Golden-yellow handle with intact wire wrapping. No chipping. Aluminum handle fittings. The gilding of the swastikas on the pommel is completely preserved. "Mundt" is named on the back of the crossguard. Silvered steel scabbard which is free of dents. </p>
<p>Comes with the original dagger hangers and officer's portepee. Fully working snap clips. RZM "U.E.10" maker marked and "DRGM" marked."
