Most people don't like hearing this but here it is: "It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it."

And if the seller gets his asking price, so what?

I've grown tired of hearing complaints that this or that photo went for the "ridiculous" price of XYZ Euros.

Buyers don't just consist of specialists or people with above average knowledge. I've seen photos that had nothing special about them get bids.

I help run an eBay store for a friend. Before putting up one of his collectibles, I check for recent sale prices, and current asking prices. The asking prices can vary by $100 or more.
