1.B-17G "Sky Chief" 42-39912 GX-V crash-landed 16 July 44 in Suffolk after Mission 476 to Stuttgart. Salv. 19 July.
2. B-17F "Big OperatorII" 306BG replaced first one. Not sure of serial.
3. P-47D posted before; name is "BRONC".
4. P-51D 44-72838 "Billie Jo" 311FG China; take-off accident 26 Oct. 45 at Shanghai. Yellow tail, 2 vertical bars for 529FS. Side numbers 1000 series.
5. B-17G 42-38093 BO-V 306BG, crash-landed damaged near Manston 12 Sept. 44 after Mission 626 to Ruhland. Salv. at No.2 SAD.
6. B-17G 42-97793 Alexandria, LA (Third AF Base Unit) for combat crew training 1945.
7. B-17F 42-30052 Avon Park FL., Third AF bombing range; "A"= Avon Park, "K" = plane no., "3"= 3rd. Sqn.
8.B-17G 42-38174 Lowery Field CO. Base Unit Technical School ( nose turret removed); scrapped at Kingman 1946.
9. P-47D 42-75224 was Mike Gladych's "Pengie II" HV-O bar, to 495FTS Atcham as War Weary; maybe at Horham, B-17G is 95BG. Malcolm hood added.
10. P-51D 44-15570 QI-R 356FG Martlesham Heath; pilot Lt. P.R. Cochran, 45 missions 10/44 to 9/45. Named "Lili Belle" for his wife Lillian.
11. B-24 420th. Base Unit March Field CA. for combat crew training (heavy) 1945; not sure on serial.
12. B-24J 44-40721 90BG Phillipines 1945, down in sea between her base San Jose Mindoro and Busuanga Is. after mission to Indo-China 27 May 45 (low fuel); black tail (400BS "Black Pirates") and white 721.
13. B-24L "Bugs Bomby Jr." 44-41466, 11BG Guam 1945; scrapped post-war.
