And I agree with Franek to say that US aircraft losses are easy to follow is a bit optimistic. A lot of aircraft hit in battle were reported as damaged but were actually never repaired.
And in the period 1941-1943, the US loss lists are not so precise, often lacking serial or having wrong date. That is understandable given the situation in Pacific at the time.
