Sgt. W. Johnson (1205901) - POW 13 June 1943 - No. 542 Squadron

The following puzzle was brought to my attention.
On 13 June 1943 Sgt. William Johnson of No. 541 Squadron (RAF Benson) was taken prisoner 'in Holland' according his post-war questionnaire. He had come down in Spitfire PR XI BS498 whilst on a recce mission to the Dortmund-Ems Canal.

Summary speaks of a probable flak shoot down in the 'Rhudenall area' around 08.00 a.m. Adding to that, the Dortmund-Ems canal covers a wide area.

Since the mentioned location is pretty mysterious, I wonder if any info has come above water regarding Johnson's Spitfire, also noting that the Dutch SGLO database hasn't him in their records.

Any help welcome, thanks.
