Loss of Lancaster PH-D-PA986
Hello
I am researching the loss of Lancaster mark 3 PH-D-PA986, based at 12 Squadron Wickenby Lincolnshire. The aircraft was shot down by a night fighter over Mastenbroekpolder, Mastenbroek at 0330hrs returning from Gelsenkirchen.
I have 12 Squadrons record of the crew members names and there missions flown.
I would like to try and find more about this aircraft and the actual aircraft that shot down Lancaster PH-D-PA986, am at a loss to know were to further start my research. Can any one provide advice.
