I replied this morning but it seems my post has disappeared.

So I repeat it: thanks a lot Nick for this very useful link. Contrary to what the name implies, it show unit position on the western and italian fronts from 10 July 1943 to the end of the war.

It gives also accesses to war diaries of some units (most of them Canadian).

Strange thing: in the unit list there is the Japanese 38th Division. If this one fought in Europe, I have missed it in my readings so far...
