Well, the question is, if the intention was to make a psychological blow, or rather to inflict losses of the enemy to an unacceptable level. This perfectly shows that Luftwaffe was unable to increase enemy losses by more traditional means. This would have been a very interesting topic to discuss with Pelz, but it is too late.
