sorry, surely this was not meant to be offensive. It is just a quote from a book "Chronik des zweiten Weltkriegs", where it says:
"In the former Polish barracks facilities in the vicinity to Auschwitz (Oswiecim), located between Kattowice and Krakow, the first political prisoners are interned. Affected are 728 Polish prisoners from Tarnow. Many of them had been arrested at the eastern border, from where they hat attempted to escape via Hungary to the West and mainly to France."
Maybe this book is not as accurate as it should be
