Rechberger shot down EE138 - no doubt about it. The wrong story on the plaque is due to local rumors. We did not have the information about Rechberger at the time and nobody came forward about the air combat. We had three eyewitnesses that claimed that they saw the plane being shot down from Kryle. It later turned out, that they mixed up two different stories.
