I am wading in with a question to Laurent and Seaplanes regarding the Do 24 WNr 2112 loss in the Med!
I know it's late...
Checking the book Do 24 by Pieter van Wijngaarden/Prudent Staal they say (in Dutch..
) "09/05/44 gezonken na aanvaring met mijnenveger. Inzittenden vermist"
While I can't lay claim to fully understand what this loss is all about (why doesn't every author write in Swedish??
), it doesn't quite sound like a Beaufighter kill at the date you list!
I am dying for a good explanation....
