Re: Uffz Paul Panitz 6/NJG1

Hello!
In the book on NJG losses by Michael Balss it says that Panitz flew a Me 110 E-1 with Wnr. 3853 and coded G9 + FM and was shot down by the return fire from an enemy aircraft at Laer, 12 km. south of St. Trond in Belgium.
Both Panitz and the other crewmember Gfr. Erwin Cobi jumped out, but only Cobi survived wounded.
It furthermore says, that the aircraft belonged to the Stab II/NJG 1

Hope this helps a little
Christian
