Hello,

The Soviet ace Nikolay Lavitskiy (http://surfcity.kund.dalnet.se/soviet_lavitskii.htm) of the 16 GIAP (24 victories) was killed on 10 March 1944.
According to some sources, this was during a transit flight with P-39 Airacobras. However, according to some sources he claimed his two last victories during this day.
Is there anyone with info on Lavitskiy’s last day?
