LW Aces in a Day Versus USAAF
Hi guys

According to Wood's list, Major Egon Mayer (102 victories, RK-S, killed in action 2 March 1944), Geschwaderkommodore of JG 2, claimed four P-47 fighters and a B-17 four-engined bomber (85-89) on 1 December 1943. Please note that one of the P-47 fighters (88 ) may be a double counted victory. I hope that this helps somewhat.
