During the night from 30 to 31 July 1944 one He 111 was taking fire from a convoy in the Scheldt estuary which was escorted by 6 minesweepers from 32. MS-Flotilla. Time was 23.25 hours and location 14 km southwest of Flushing. The He 111 consequently crashed near the coastline between Cadzand and Knokke killing two crew in the process and wounding the rest. I have difficulty in indentifying the unit concerned (KG 3?) and would like to ask who may be able to identify this loss incl. the names of the crew members.
