Luftwaffe soldier research

Hello,

Is there anyone who can find something on :

Feldwebel (can also be Oberfeldwebel) Walter Richter

The only certanity at this point is that he received the Honour Goblet with the date of 20.04.1942 (literature does list him with the date of 16.02.1942)

He should have been a Bordmechanic.

However there is no unit known.

Then we have also the fact that a Walter Richter also received the German Cross in Gold on the date 17.10.1943. This person was serving with the 2./KG 1.

Assuming that this German cross in Gold holder would be the Walter Richter we are searching is a 50 % chance, the name is a exact match etc ... but there is another W.Richter known who did earn the Honour Goblet on the date 08.05.1943. This W.Richter was a Pilot.

So my questions are now:

* Flying units: can we find out the fates of either Bordmechanics or Pilots with the name of Walter Richter and with the minimum rank of a Feldwebel?

Most probably searching for a needle in a haystack, but always worth the research.

Cordial greetings and thank you in advance,
