Well there are tons of missing information on the Luftwaffe including losses. Remember, the Germans destroyed most of their Luftwaffe records at the end of the war. Even so, those that survive are not entirely all-inclusive, or accurate, especially in 1939-40. Also, we are missing almost all of the 1944 GQM records.

This is not unsual in the middle of a war, nor unique to the Luftwaffe. Many American and RAF records are incomplete or not accurate. Record-keeping in war is not a 100% priority.
