Wrecked Zero Art

I'm planning a piece of art as the title suggests. I'm depicting an A6M5 model 52 crash landed and pretty much beat up. Now, to my fellow aviation enthusiasts I have a question to put forth:

1) Would you prefer to see it in it's original color scheme? (yet to be chosen, so any ideas appreciated).

2) Or, how about one that's been lying on some Pacific Island for 30 or 40 years (this appeals to me, but I want it to obviously appeal to people who might buy it, and not myself).

What sort of aging effects would I expect to find? The Zero was aluminum, wasn't it, so no rusting? I have looked on a few wreck websites and they appear dull with age. I'm new to Japanese Navy types so any help most welcome.

Regards,
