To those who think all these extra functions are just gimmicks that lie in their way I've enabled the
Quick Reply function, which surprisingly functions exactly as you'd expect.
If you want to maintain thread cohesion, simply press the Quick Reply icon in the lower right corner of the particular post you want to answer. You won't notice this cohesion if you are using linear mode, but those using threaded mode will notice the difference and be thankful.
In case you miss the higher functionality offered by the full message editor, you can always press
go advanced or even the regular Post Reply button.
I didn't enable the Quick Reply function when the new forum went live, because it might have been confused for the only Message Editor available.
