TOCH is community driven, so I am not against some form of community elected moderators.
However TOCH is also very much a privately owned forum. The role of any elected moderator would be limited as long as the electorate doesn't pay taxes!
TOCH! moderators as it stands today
Ruy Horta = host / admin / (super)moderator
John Beaman = (super)moderator
Nick Beale = (super)moderator
Eric Larger = moderator (of sub forum)
John Manrho = moderator (of sub forum)
I agree with Nick that the scope for this game is limited without strong support of the community.
And even with its support, the extend of control would be limited to moderating and advice.
