Actually the list is only showing accidents but includes a part of accidents taking place at the start of operational flight (for example collisions during formation time over England by 8th Air Force bombers). The same collision taking place over Germany or over liberated France won't be listed.
For the losses in operation due to enemy fire, you can check the MACR database (Google that for the www) but it is not complete. A MACR is for a missing aircrew, so any aircraft shot down over friendly territory or water and where the crew was immediatly saved (or sometimes found dead) won't have a MACR.
