He 115B W.Nr. 1889 S4+CH (British interrogation sources says S4+AH) of Küstenfliegerstaffel 1./506 was lost on 26.10.1940. The plane was shot down by a Handley Page Hampden of the east coast of England. The crew was rescued after reaching the coast north of Yarmouth after some 25 hours in their dinghy. The aircraft was found by Luftwaffe recce aircraft in position Pl.Qu. 2477/05 Ost the following day and sunk by gunfire from other Luftwaffe aircraft. The crew were all unwounded and taken as POW's.
