Question Martlet shot down by U-278-ID ?
On 3 May 1944 U-278 shot down a British "Martlet" {Wildcat}.
Query-what was Pilot ID and fate?
Apparently the Martlet was from either the British excort carrier's:
HMS Activty
HMS Fencer
